Instrumentation and signal transmission cables for measurement, control loops and data integrity.
Screened instrumentation cable, stripped back to show the finished build. Pair counts, screen arrangements and sheaths are built to the signal and the application — send us the loop requirement and we will confirm the build.

Scope
Voltage range: 300/500 V
This family covers cables that carry information rather than power: analogue measurement loops such as 4–20 mA, thermocouple and resistance-thermometer circuits, discrete status and interlock signals, and low-level data links.
What separates these cables from power cables is screening and balance, not current-carrying capacity. A signal circuit picks up induced noise from any power cable running alongside it, so the screen arrangement — individually screened pairs, an overall screen, or both — and the way that screen is earthed usually decide whether the loop holds its reading. Say which arrangement the project needs rather than leaving it to be inferred.
To quote we need the signal type and level, the number of pairs or cores and whether they are twisted pairs or triads, the screen arrangement and drain-wire convention, the environment the cable runs through (petrochemical, mining, marine, outdoor or high temperature), and the standard you are working to. IEC 60228 fixes the conductor classes, and the cables are manufactured to EN 50288-7; the overall construction is confirmed against the enquiry.
Key characteristics
The published construction in this family is the DJYVP multi-pair screened computer cable — 300/500 V, PE insulation, PVC sheath and a copper braid overall screen — with its full data table below. DJYPVP (individually screened pairs) and DJYVP22 (steel tape armoured) are built on the same base.
Built around the screen arrangement rather than around current-carrying capacity: individual pair screens, an overall screen, or both, with a drain wire where the project asks for one.
Supplied as twisted pairs or triads in whatever pair count the loop requires, with cross-sections set by loop distance and instrument load.
Sheath compounds are chosen for the environment the cable runs through — petrochemical, mining, marine, outdoor or high temperature — rather than for voltage.
The DJY range and the instrument cable range are both manufactured to EN 50288-7. Where the enquiry names the European designation — LiYCY-TP and its screened-pair variants — we map it against the EN 50288-7 construction we build.

the tables further down this page. Intermediate sizes are manufactured to order.
Construction
Each entry is identified three ways: an international description,
a construction code naming the material build-up, and a national
type designation given for cross-reference only. Read the code
string left to right — conductor, insulation, then screening,
armour and sheath where fitted.
One screened-pair construction, opened to show the layer order: insulated cores twisted into pairs, each pair individually screened, under an overall braid and black sheath. Other pair counts and screen arrangements are built to order — send us the application and we will confirm the build.
Product photographs
Photographs of builds from this family. Core count, armouring and sheath follow the specification of each order — the data sheet for your build is issued with the quotation.
Overall copper braid over the twisted pairs.
Foil screen over the pair assembly.
Multi-pair build, cut back through the screen.
Pairs fanned out — the screen is stripped back with them.

Application For analogue/digital signal transmission and computer interconnection in process control systems (DCS/PLC), instrument circuits and electronic equipment, where low external interference is required. Armoured version for direct burial and mechanical protection.

Type designations by region
Buyers search for a supplier by the designation their own market uses.
The codes listed against each construction above are the designations
this family is ordered under in China; each is given for cross-reference
only, and is published only where a supporting reference exists.
The Russian-market designations below are asked for by name on this family; the structure is confirmed against each enquiry.
China GB
DJYVPDJYPVPDJYVP22EN 50288-7
These are the designations we manufacture to. Reading the code (the letters come from the Chinese designation): DJ = computer / instrument cable, Y = PE insulation, V = PVC sheath, and each P is a screen — DJYPVP has a screen on every pair (first P) plus an overall screen (second P); DJYVP has the overall screen only; the trailing 22 denotes steel tape armour.
How the two systems line up
China (GB) — what we build to
European equivalent
Screen arrangement
When it is chosen
DJYVP
LiYCY-TP
Overall screen over the pair assembly
Twisted pairs under one overall screen.
DJYPVP
LiYCY-TP (PiMF build)
Screen on each pair plus an overall screen
Individual pair screens (PiMF) where crosstalk between loops has to be controlled.
DJYVP22
LiYCY-TP with armour
Overall screen under steel tape armour
Armoured build for direct burial and mechanically exposed routes.
The two systems are not interchangeable and the parameters do not transfer. The GB side is PE-insulated at 300/500 V with a 1.5 kV test voltage; the DIN side is PVC-insulated with its own voltage classes and test voltages. German-standard dimensions and test voltages do not apply to a DJYVP designation — tell us which designation your specification names and we will quote the figures that match it.
Europe
EN 50288-7EN 50288-7
The designation depends on the insulation, screen and application — state the pair count, screen type and application and we will map it.
Cross-reference to our product families only — these pages state
which family a designation is asked for under; they do not claim
that our cable is certified to ГОСТ.
Type designations are given for cross-reference, so a specification written to IEC, GB, EN, DIN VDE, BS or GOST finds the right construction. Each designation is defined by the standard named beside it. Construction, standard edition and approval route are confirmed against your specification before an order is placed.
To quote we need
Send what you have of the following — a partial enquiry still lets us
start, and we will tell you which answers are missing.
Signal type and level — analogue loop, thermocouple, RTD, data
Number of pairs or triads, and conductors per element
Screen arrangement and drain-wire convention required
Environment and temperatures the cable sees
The standard you work to, the quantity and the drum lengths
